PASSMATE® - ID Authentication
PASSMATE® delivers real-time, automated and accurate identity card authentication. PASSMATE® reports results that reflect differences between what is known about an identity card and the actual identity card of that type being presented.
This process involves a screening phase that inspects a document in a controlled environment, performing extensive tests on the document’s physical layout and security features. These tests far exceed the capability of a “point of presence” inspector, who are often forced to make age judgments in pressurised and time limited situations. As a tool PASSMATE® provides the operator comprehensive and easily understood information to make an informed judgment of a customer’s age.
Current methods of identification authentication rely on individuals to determine the authenticity of documents by visual inspection. An effective document inspector must be highly trustworthy and requires considerable training. Though the inspection process requires a substantial amount of time, regardless of the environment, frontline inspectors usually have only a few seconds to make the judgment.

PASSMATE® increases your likelihood of getting the age judgement right.
During analysis of an identity document, PASSMATE® automatically performs a large number of checks against security features and structure of the document. For each check, it assigns a risk score that indicates the measure of success or failure out of 10.00.
The risk scores returned by PASSMATE® are a way to easily assess the authenticity of a document being presented and the template document’s characteristics known by the library. The document inspector can use the score to determine what, if any, further action is needed.
